I'll just leave this here...

moet

You know what to do.

Happy New Year to old friends and new friends, old fandoms, new fandoms, and all the rest of the original lyrics to that song, 'cause I'm sure Rabbie Burns was a fangirl!

GOOD LOVE, GOOD HEALTH, & GOOD FORTUNE TO ALL in 2014!
And please don't break the Internet tomorrow

I've got EVEN MORE stuff - [livejournal.com profile] lomonaaeren has gifted me with the most beautiful sleepy!H/D and I can't thank her enough.

This day has been brilliant.

Pad over to the big bed and climb in with these two as they learn to trust one another and themselves. Then just bask in the warmth of it all.

Just for change of pace, I also prompted a pairing I don't often read, but I can see so easily:

Snape appears in Malfoy Manor (as a ghost, as human, just as long as he can feel and communicate) on the first Christmas Eve after the War. Lucius finds him by the fire in the drawing room. All Snape knows is that he can't stay there for long.

I'd love this to be romantic/sweet rather than smutty - don't need a high rating, just a bit of angst and a lot of "awww." These are two hardened and ebil men; they'd have trouble showing/discussing their feelings, so it might be a little awkward to have a cuddle or romantic moment, but they try anyway. I'm after bittersweet here - happy ending not required, but closure is.

And did my Mystery Author deliver?

Oh yes, s/he did! It'll make you smile and cry and awwwwww, and....just go read it!

Yeah, so, this [livejournal.com profile] mini_fest prompt I put up:

Pairing: Pansy/Ginny
I want PURE FILTH - dirty talk, toys (Christmas presents, maybe?), the works - I draw the line with watersports and scat. Not fussed about the era or infidelity. Want it consensual, that's it. Bring it on.

Challenge accepted. On the Loose, NSFW

ALSKIJAKDSJHLGDHASGSGGGGFFFHHJJJJK!

*cough*

Thank you so very much, Mystery Artist. I love it.

My [livejournal.com profile] hd_holidays gift has posted and once again, I've got a GORGEOUS PIECE OF ART!

This piece captured my prompts of Yule Ball and I-can't-keep-my-hands-off-you!boys so expertly, IDEK. The snow adds the most romantic touch and the costumes and muted colours are perfect in keeping with the hestitant but all-consuming mood the artist has created.

Please cast your eyes on I Want, I Need [PG], by Anonymous :)

These great people all have birthdays at year's end. I hope it is every bit worth waiting for! *hugs*. In keeping with the temperature outside my front door, please have Pingu and some cake:

Just FYI, in lieu of sending holiday cards this year (or spending Christmas in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary), I thought I'd give something back to the Somerville Foundation which, like you, supported me during a very chaotic year. This foundation supports adults born with a heart condition. I've signed up as a Helpline Volunteer and Medical Proof-Reader.

It's strange to think that without my mitral valve packing up, I might never have known I'd been born with Partial Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection (PAPVC), and I was fortunate to have both repaired at the same time, exactly eight months ago. Thank you again to everyone for all your prayers and kind words.

As I feel very fortunate to be in good health THIS holiday season, I'd like to do what I can to help others be able to say the same next year.

I love this kind of thing. When we were young and innocent, [livejournal.com profile] delphipsmith and I made up Linnean classifications of Star Wars characters. (Well, didn't everyone?) We figured there must be some practical aspect to our playing around in fandom.

[livejournal.com profile] nicevenn has done a funny for HP. She's used a template for some elf (can't remember his name now), and brought it to our little corner of the playpark.

This has come in so handy, I can't tell you... And if you're having trouble, you can always blame [livejournal.com profile] enchanted_jae. (I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the manufacturers will have to call on [livejournal.com profile] leo_draconis to write up the specifications for Draco's cock.)

Please to be perusing these simple instructions. And thank you so much for sharing them, [livejournal.com profile] nicevenn!

What do you get when you gift me a fic that has school!smut, scars, snakey-talk, the Hogwart's Express, cranky boys, and UST aplenty? You get one happy nurse.

I was so fortunate this year with my stocking stuffers; I got lots of varied and lovely fics based solely on a single prompt, and once again, this one did not disappoint. I love the way Harry's cross, but he can't put his finger on why, and how spending some quality time with his former school nemesis helps him remember and cures him of it at the same time. That's what I love about this pairing - they're always on that knife edge of enmity and desire. This fic showcases that perfectly. And Draco learns a thing or two about my favourite foreign language. Enjoy!

This beautiful work was all gifted to me over the last month and I am eternally in awe of and grateful to these wonderful artists. Some of these are links, some are behind cuts, since not all are posted or are posted in flocked LJs. Please enjoy.

The sweet [livejournal.com profile] dirty_darella drew my boys dancing, something that is such a kink for me: Waltzing. The suits are gorgeous, and their hair and eyes are to die for.

And then she drew them together on a broom. How did she know I liked that? *is amazed with artist's capacity to mind-read* Just look at Draco's expression - perfect.

Sharing a Ride )

The incomperable [livejournal.com profile] quimvaa drew me everyone's favourite spit-and-polisher:

Fifi Draco )

The elf-tastic [livejournal.com profile] kitty_fic gifted me with some hilarious H/D elf dancing (scroll down to the bottom).

And have you seen that little sketch I got at [livejournal.com profile] hd_holidays? IMHO, it's the best thing in the fest, and I cannot, cannot stop looking at it.

Thank you again, all of you, and best wishes for a colourful New Year!

In the complete confusion that was Christmas Day (illness, impending in-laws' visit - yes, they're still here - and telelphone calls from everyone under the sun), I completely missed this beautiful, heart-string-pulling gem of a ficlet by the most excellent [livejournal.com profile] snarkyscorp.

I had asked for a bit of AS/S(!), and oh, Home for Christmas is simply wonderful.

It doesn't remind me of anyone I know at all. Nope. Not anyone (she says, having spent most of the day wrapped up in Mr Nursedarry's dressing gown).

I had specifically asked for her to post this on Christmas Day, too, and I feel like a complete twat that I missed it. Forgive me, Snarky. And if you're reading this and you're NOT Snarky, go read her fic. Right now.
