Another Stocking Stuffer rec - Hysterical

I love this kind of thing. When we were young and innocent, [livejournal.com profile] delphipsmith and I made up Linnean classifications of Star Wars characters. (Well, didn't everyone?) We figured there must be some practical aspect to our playing around in fandom.

[livejournal.com profile] nicevenn has done a funny for HP. She's used a template for some elf (can't remember his name now), and brought it to our little corner of the playpark.

This has come in so handy, I can't tell you... And if you're having trouble, you can always blame [livejournal.com profile] enchanted_jae. (I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the manufacturers will have to call on [livejournal.com profile] leo_draconis to write up the specifications for Draco's cock.)

Please to be perusing these simple instructions. And thank you so much for sharing them, [livejournal.com profile] nicevenn!

Post of more SQUEE!!!

More wonderful things to say thank-you for:

* [livejournal.com profile] cleo_jay, the awesomest fen wife to the universe (but mainly to [livejournal.com profile] dysonrules), sent me a gorgeous scarf and a work-out-tastic CD for when I get back to the gym - my asthma is keeping me home this week whilst the docs try to get it sorted, so no aerobics for me for a bit.

* My favourite incestuous artist/writer, [livejournal.com profile] thilia, sent me the HAWTEST James/Teddy Christmas card which had me warming up nicely. And thank you so much for the DVD, BB!

* Not only did the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] joan_waterhouse send me a lovely card, she fixed my yaoi-tastic Twitter background, so my two boys are back in focus *hugs hugely*

* Thank you, thank you to [livejournal.com profile] bleedforyou1 for my wonderful new slashy/nursey icons! I love them!

* My [livejournal.com profile] leo_palooza present posted yesterday and OMG it's from [livejournal.com profile] leo_draconis! And it's mind(and other bits)-meltingly HAWT!!! I don't know how she knows me so well, really, it's scary - *snerk* Go read Wand At the Ready. And sit in front of a fan whilst you're doing it!

I'm still off sick, as kids are just now getting better and I still have this stupid head-cold and cough. Huge love to [livejournal.com profile] cassie_black12 for giving me a bit of a break last weekend, braving the snow, and playing with my kids whilst I could get on with things. Being sick sucks. Worse is being sick whilst my friends are here cause I can't appreciate them and I hope you didn't have too boring a time, Cassie. We'll make up for it in London in Feb with [livejournal.com profile] accioscar, when we're off to see these Merlin and Sir Leon chappies (I vaguely know who one of them is:).

If nothing else, I'm writing/beta-ing like a fiend and whipping my rec list into shape. Okay, I'm mostly reading the stuff on the rec list, but I'm thinking about getting it sorted.

*sad face*, fests, pimpage, thank you!

*sad face*
Hubby just left to spend the holidays with the Taliban.
Thank goodness for R/L and virtual friends.
*hugs awesome flist*

[livejournal.com profile] hd_holidays, [livejournal.com profile] hp_yule_balls, and [livejournal.com profile] hd_remix all done. I really do love writing for fests. (You think?!) I love giving gifts, and I love being inspired by other people's prompts. I wish my own stories (sitting around a collecting dust) would inspire me so much. (Having said that, whilst dozing through the Berkshire West PCT Public Health team meeting yesterday, one of my bunnies decided not to hibernate, so I may be have go at working on something non-fest-related.)

Here's some quality pimpage:

There are also some wonderful November prompts to choose from if you don't have enough on your plate already.

Also, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, TARA, for the absolutely lovely postcard! I love getting stuff - this is awesome!

I've got the best boss in the world who told me to work from home today. I will if I can just rearrange a meeting in Newbury I'm supposed to have this afternoon. *looks at clock* A little early to be ringing, methinks. Sorted.
