*sad face*
Hubby just left to spend the holidays with the Taliban.
Thank goodness for R/L and virtual friends.
*hugs awesome flist*

[livejournal.com profile] hd_holidays, [livejournal.com profile] hp_yule_balls, and [livejournal.com profile] hd_remix all done. I really do love writing for fests. (You think?!) I love giving gifts, and I love being inspired by other people's prompts. I wish my own stories (sitting around a collecting dust) would inspire me so much. (Having said that, whilst dozing through the Berkshire West PCT Public Health team meeting yesterday, one of my bunnies decided not to hibernate, so I may be have go at working on something non-fest-related.)

Here's some quality pimpage:

There are also some wonderful November prompts to choose from if you don't have enough on your plate already.

Also, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, TARA, for the absolutely lovely postcard! I love getting stuff - this is awesome!

I've got the best boss in the world who told me to work from home today. I will if I can just rearrange a meeting in Newbury I'm supposed to have this afternoon. *looks at clock* A little early to be ringing, methinks. Sorted.

*hugs* you back

I love working from home, especially if things are just a little bit slow.

And I also love fests. There's something wonderful about crafting a gift for another person.

LOL! Things are never "slow" in this job, but not having to commute into the office today will be a big help and I can get to the kids' book fair too!

Aren't fests great?

Hi hon, I've had a look at Mini_Fest, but I'm not going to have time to participate - I'm gutted, because some of the prompts are awesome! I'm in the middle of a massive beta, and homelife/worklife is just too busy to afford me much more free time, atm. Anything I wrote I wouldn't be happy with. I'm pretty good at time-management, and I know my limits.

I'm doing Stocking Stuffers over December, and that's it until Dracotops_Harry. I may have a look in at Kinkfest, too, but those two aren't due till after Xmas.

I will definitely be up for the next Mini_Fest, I promise!!!

No problem! :) Prompting etc will be back around August/September next year. So you have plenty of time to prepare for the next round. :D

Fast? Sometimes. Well? Hmmmm... Actually, I knew I'd be busy both at work and at home after the 10th of Nov, so I wanted to get everything done by then.

Hadn't counted on [livejournal.com profile] hd_remix going so quick, but it demanded to be written before Hols, even.

*hugs back*

Thanks, darling.

End of January sometime - could be a lot worse, but the ground-crew just go over for about 10 weeks or so. But they go often than the other crew who go for longer. Would rather it was this way, though :)

LOL! icon ♥! Thank you for the giggle.

I'm just lucky he's not away for too long a time. It means he goes more frequently, but that's sort of easier in my book.

HAHA I ALWAYS KNEW HE WAS A MUSLIM!!!

Just kidding. Hope this doesn't bring the UK equivalent of Homeland Security down on you ;) But really, what holidays? You're British, you don't celebrate Thanksgiving. Or maybe you do: "Thank God those bloody Yanks left..."

Srsly - *hugs* I know this can't be easy. I'm sure he'll come home safe and sound. Sending ♥ love ♥ !
