In other news, *punches air* my harrydracompreg prompt has been chosen! Looking at it again, I realise one of my favourite fics is pretty much based on the same damn prompt, but hey, there can never be too much of a good thing! *headdesk*

Speaking of prompts, I've duly been over to hd_smoochfest and left my measley two prompts - TWO? What kind of censure is that? I'd prepared THREE, donchuknow? *grumbles*

And finally, can I just get a *SQUEE* for now having received half of the hd_remix submissions? They're all so good, I can't wait to post them. The rest should be coming on Sunday - hee hee, I said coming - and posting begins on 1 March, one a day, for 25 days.

You're from KS? So much fun! Do you still have family there? Are they appalled by your kids' accents?

I'm not actually from OK (raised in northern New Hampshire), but I had the best two years of my life thus far in Tulsa. I went there to work for a judge - there were 3 of us from all over the States. We had the best time together! One of them was gay and one a lesbian, and the other bi-curious; sometimes there'd be 2 men and 1 woman at the breakfast table and other times it would be 1 man and 2 women. Once there were 4 (two of each), and that confused me :D. We got up to some serious trouble :D I never would've known that Tulsa (and even parts of Arkansas where we spent a lot of time) have very close-knit liberal enclaves. But we even partied with Fundamentalist arch-conservatives and grew very close to several of them (I went to a lot of church bb-q's). They certainly changed some of my preconceived prejudices, and I hope we changed some of theirs as well. Good times :D

Yup, born and raised in Lawrence. My father still lives there.

We'll be back in April (me, kids, cassie_black12, alovelycupoftea). lijahlover is hosting a big BBQ for us and some of my freinds from home, and anyone else from fandom who wants to come who'll bring beer and not run off with her silver :D
