Humbled by teh love

I can barely express my thanks for all of the wonderful gifts I've been given. I only need to look at my LJ to be reminded of how much sharing this fandom means to me, but I want to say thank you for even more holiday bounty.

This icon (along with the fic I recc'd previously) were fantastically-inspired gifts from leo_draconis, who's orchestrated so much wonderfulness this holiday *blows kisses*.

I also received wonderful nursey and Dan icons from the lovely bleedforyou1, a new LJ friend *hugs*.

I've (or rather, my lucky children) have had more RL cards from alovelycupoftea and softly_sweetly, who's gift of ST movies I'm still delighting in getting through. (I know, I have no taste:)

Virtually, I've also received a lovely card from dirty_darella (H & D looking so cute in their pyjamas!), and a family of Christmas bears and other great v-gifts from yumekutteikt, cassie_black12, moonlitdark, leo_draconis, arineat, cinnetart, being_here, frayach, thepretender501, and demicus. I can only echo dysonrules when I say how ridiculously happy getting these makes me.

cassie_black12, my soul-sister, gifted me with lovely smelly things for my bath, lovely gifts for the kids, and a huge amount of time and money to visit me whilst I was feeling poorly. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for your friendship.

I also got a nice phone call from Mr Nursedarry last night (who had to work, but still got a Christmas dinner). He'll be home now in less than a month. *throws confetti*

nicevenn organised hd_seasons stocking stuffers (click on the link below) which consisted of the Most. Wonderful. Gifts. Thank you so much to everyone who created the fic, art, and media. *am still amazed at the sheer quantity and quality of them* They have brought me so much joy today, it's almost criminal. Ginormous armfuls of love and chocolate go to sabinefrappe, uniquepov, nicevenn, quimvaa, dirty_darella, kjp_013, khasael, ficreader76, and kitty_fic. I'll be reccing these again when they're reposted on individual LJs after the 1st.

I'm not sure we're going to be here next Christmas, as Doug is due to come out in July. He's put in to stay another three years, but the request might not be approved. Also, he's not sure he wants to stay in now. Hopefully we'll know the result by April, but we'd be moving in the summer if he's coming out.

Oh, yes, we'd move to Reading, where I work. That way I can quit commuting.

(At least for the next few years - the NHS is being re-shuffled and the part of it I work for will cease to exist. My job will hopefully be made part of another area of the NHS, although maybe not in Reading.)

Glad you liked the lil' fic, I love your stories so much and your List of Likes was so enticing I really wanted to write something you'd enjoy.

I'm not quite happy with the bonding scene, I'd like to brush that up a bit over the next few days (if you've got any suggestions, let me know!) so I'll post you the (hopefully) better version soon!

By the way, thrilled to bits you've written more Y&R - It slayed me that you'd stopped just after Dumbledore strolled by, knowing they were there! And I adored "the sweet way Malfoy pretended he wasn't in pain", it's just ....aaaahhhhh :D And I really liked the touch about how Seamus was all "god not this again" when Ron is being all...Ron. Yay for more! :D

I'm glad Mr Darry will be home soon. :)
