It's okay, I've done it before.

Hello flist! Yes, it's meeeee! I know I kinda disappeared in a puff of Real Life, and am about to do so again, but I need to resurface to say a few things.

Firstly, profound thanks needs to be given to mayfly_78 for the gorgeous animated In the Garden of Eden, which was gifted to me as a remix of my In the Beginning. It's simply stunning. If you've not seen it, I urge you to go have a look. Also, huge thanks to the hd_remix mods for running such a brilliant fest! Xx. I wrote a little something for megyal, called Anywhere is Here. It's a continuation of her very fun RPS If You Could Be Anywhere. I like to think that all actually happened, Y/y?

And if you're in desperate need of more fluffy smut, this time of a Trek slant, I updated my Perfectly Reckless (Khirk) series today with Hotel Medbay. It's not a long update, but an important one. There will be more. Promise. *wink* (LOL, sorry.)

In RL news, things continue to go well: still have a job I love, a big old Georgian house that's slowly getting a face lift, kids who mostly behave (they'll be 10 this year - WTF?), Mr Nursedarry continues to build wind turbines and still enjoys it, and our connoisseur cat, who's keen to supplement our diets with numerous birds and rodents, is enjoying the changing season immensely.

This weekend sees me down in London again, schmoozing with my gorgeous fangirl friends, and rubbing shoulders with T.Hiddy and the beautiful people on the red carpet at the Oliviers.

I'll leave you with a bit of randomness - borne of strange dreams and a couple vodka tonics. The other night, for absolutely no good reason, and with an enormous repertoire of fantasy men and women to choose from, my subconscious pulled out the Gilligan's Island episode where Mary Ann falls and bangs her head and thinks she's Ginger. I even woke up with the strains of I Wanna Be Loved By You tinkling through my head. Anyone remember that? It's not even my favourite episode! So, tell me, what was yours? I loved that show and would like to hear your fond memories (or hated ones).

I'm ready to sit right back and hear your tale...Oh yes...Professor...mmmmm....boopboopedoo.

Anyone else on my flist who's as much of a McCoy fan as me needs to go to The McCoy-A-Thon now!!! I can't believe how fast stuff is going up there. I posted a prompt this afternoon and about two minutes later there was ficage from eviinsanemonkey! Quality ficage!

Also, I'd like to announce that wonderful noeon's new com is open for business. If you fancy two scoops of ginger and one scoop of blond, then find a home at sceasleycest. There's art, too...

Finally, hp_rarities began posting today, and seeing as yours truly played a very minor role in it, I'm ORDERING you to check it out!

I'd also like to grudgingly take this opportunity to thank kilter for the early birthday pressies of iTunes voucher and the chocolate-covered cherries (my favourite sweeties). Am going to see the Oxford Kings play baseball this weekend (weather permitting) and will stuff said cherries down my gob during that. Will take a flask of Crystal Lite iced tea (closest thing I've got to the real thing over here) and guzzle that too.

Finally, delphi- I don't pretend to know how the computer system at HSU works but I really don't give a rat's ass if your bloody DE finds out what I wrote in that chat-room or not. Will K his A if he even tries to use the other combination of those letters on me. Pppttffft!

Finally got myself sorted into HiH and you'll never guess where I've ended up! No, c'mon- have a guess. Everyone there has been SO friendly! Will eventually try out for the team, as well (natch).

Am getting sigtags now (even found a hybrid one, seeing as evidently I'm an amalgam- didn't I tell you I looked good in Christmas colours?) Anyone anywhere needing art make sure to get over to dripping_cherry's store ASAP! Also, make sure you go read her wonderful H/D World Cup entry for Team EWE The Familiar Familiar and leave her some love. If it doesn't make you smile, you'll never be able to claim to be a lover of ornithology.

I also have a couple of other shouts I have to mention: leochi is an awesome friend and artist, who's just made my kids some pics of our favourite snake since they just assume you can't have one boy without the other. Thanks again for the lovely work!
