Right, HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY to the most wonderful blond fictional character a girl could ever hope to fancy. I got you a present - I hope you like it - he's just sorting out his hair and will be round to your place shortly. No, no need to thank me, just make sure you're facing the camera.

Now, to everyone who was press-ganged volunteered into helping out with the [livejournal.com profile] hp_uk_meetup:

It is four weeks away! Which means this is a heads-up to all you writers and drabblers/donators/etc. Please, please, please let us know if you can't make the 15 June deadline for stuff (we've negotiated other dates with a few people).

If you can't remember what you signed up to do, comment here and I'll PM you with a reminder :)

If anyone else is interested in donating fic/art/anything, please do let us know! We'd love to have as many of you there in spirit as possible.

If you're donating something that you want to send directly to Edinburgh, please PM and I'll give you an address to use. In terms of fic/art, that can be emailed to myself or [livejournal.com profile] cassie_black12 - just PM for addys if you don't have them.

We have received some AMAZING stuff already and we're really looking forward to sharing it all with you. Oh, and I'm reliably informed someone is bringing fudge. Oh yes.

Once again, happy birthday, Draco!

Idea filched from everyone but copied and pasted from [livejournal.com profile] cassie_black12's lj (as are some of the requests, because we're really one entity with a few extra limbs and a lot of tits).

Step One

* Make a post to your LJ with a list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, big or small, expensive or free, fandom-related or not. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

* If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

* Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

* Surf around your friends list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use—or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free—do it.

* You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf—to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not — it's your call.

* There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
