Hi all,

I've got to get up at stupid o'clock to catch my flight and I've got eleventy-billion things to do between now and then, so I'm posting this now.

Firstly -



I hope you have a wonderful day with softly_sweetly next Saturday, and you'll get the rest of your presents after I get back, since for some strange reason, the post office isn't open on bank holidays... You are a wonderful friend and I'm so sorry I won't be here for your big day. (That's a lie - I wish you could be with us in FL for it!)


Secondly - I'll see you at JFK tomorrow, lotus_lizzy! *jumps up and down in anticipation*


Thirdly - YAY for Opening Day! Am going to try to catch the Marlins live next Sunday!!!


Now, for an improtant public service warning message to my flist - cassie_black12 is playing around with my layout, so if you see any posts from this account between now and the 16th, it's unlikely to be ME! (I'll no doubt come back to a load of Hugo/James and gay!Neville icons...)

So jealous of the live baseball. I still haven't got over the shock of Channel Five dropping their coverage. I blame them for my beloved Braves not doing so well - I couldn't cheer them on!

I'm relegated to listening to the games with the MLB app for my iPhone. But at least I get to listen to my beloved Royals on KC radio and they played all the Spring Training games too.

You don't want to get me started about Channel 5 and their behaviour. Oxford has a team, which I've occasionally gone to watch, but it ain't the same BY FAR. *sigh*

Who are your picks for the Fall Classic? Aside from Chipper I-can't-keep-it-in-my-pants Jones and the Braves? :)))))

Ooh, I hadn't realised there was a way to listen on the phone. Is that the At Bat app? I have the free (Lite) version, which I don't *think* allows live game day audio etc., but maybe I just haven't noticed... Might have to save up for the full version, but at the moment food is my priority! I do listen via the ESPN website sometimes, but I tend to only remember at the wrong times...

Chipper amuses me, bless him, and I'm delighted he's still with the Braves after all this time, when all my other favourite players are long-gone. (Javy Lopez was my hero, but I don't think he's even playing for ANYONE any more...) As for their opponents, I have a soft spot for the Red Sox, although I've always enjoyed it when the Yankees are in the WS, mainly because there's no-one it would be more satisfying to beat!
