A very quick hello

Hello! How was that for quick?

No, really. I've been off all week and with the kids on hols and Doug about to maybe/maybe not be sent to the Gulf, and trying to finish up my bottom_draco fic and beta some more fantastic ST/BSG crossover-fic and read 70 chapters (so far) of Double Edged Sword and keep up with work email, I have had to put LJ on the back burner.

So, now here I am, trying to sort through back posts, sort over at HiH, and generally have a brilliant time reading what's been going on (before I skip happily back to romaine24's gorgeous fic).

First of all, HUGE birthday wishes to those on my flist (who I hope all got their goodies, even though I didn't post anything on my lj on the day). Oh, and happy birthday to my other favourite fictional character, too. Second, HUGE hugs, prayers and good wishes to bryoneybrynn, mayflo, and nuclearsugars. Third, HUGE props to kilter for the great fic which landed me in the bath with the boys (again), to dorotea, who kept from stealing any cheese out of the Clinic during the birthday party last night- right???, and planetgal471 for throwing down the fic-posting gauntlet over at hh_sugarquill.

And finally- HURRAY! hp_sas starts today!!! Get out there and enjoy it, cause it's gonna be awesome.

Off to the gym. Should enjoy this caffeine high whilst I've got it.

I loved DES! That story was so wonderful to me that my first H/D story was a one-shot that paralleled within it. *Sigh* I have to go back and reread the whole thing. :)

I have to say, I lost a bit of interest at the after the intro of Ginevra. I didn't like her or the story arc with her or the change in H's style of magic (just found it a bit too OOC and OTT), but the last two chapters got me back and crying my fucking eyes out again! It is a lovely fic.
