Meme thing

My neighbours from back up at RAF Kinloss moved in here at RAF Benson today. We've got their 4-year-old over for tea and combined with my 5-year-olds, it's noisy and messy and I'm busy, but I've found two minutes to read my lovely flist's posts and finish this thing.

Right, hands up who wants turkey dinosaurs and fish fingers!

How it works:
A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it."

List of Randomness:
1. I would really like to own a Newfoundland dog (but sadly don't have the space or the time for one, atm).
2. I'm allergic to pethadine (Demerol).
3. I cry whenever I hear either of my national anthems (especially when watching the Olympics).
4. I love doing step aerobics & playing tennis.
5. I have very mild Meniere's Disease.
6. My favourite movie is Star Wars (Ep IV), my favourite book is Dune, I'm a Gemini, and when I was 38, I gave birth to spontaneously-conceived b/g twins. Mother Nature:WTF? I'm just glad my favourite movie isn't 101 Dalmations!
7. I know how to SCUBA dive.
8. I ♥ baseball, and I support a team that has been crap since the '80s.
9. If I could choose another career, I would be a pharmacist or a car mechanic.
10. Tomorrow my husband leaves snowy England for sunny Afghanistan.

I'm tagging [livejournal.com profile] kilter, [livejournal.com profile] ladyoneill, [livejournal.com profile] dorotea, [livejournal.com profile] delphipsmith, [livejournal.com profile] starry_diadem (a lucky &^%*^ who's just retired), [livejournal.com profile] cindas, and [livejournal.com profile] crickets, but only if you really can be bothered.

LOL crying and not even liking the Olympics. I daren't go to any event is 2012 or I'll be bawling during anyone's national anthem, even if I don't know the country and hate the sport!

And thank you for kind military thoughts.

Yup! The veg totally cancels out the calories in the rest of the meal. A bit like having a diet coke with a MacDonalds.

And in case you're going 'huh?', let me assure you that this is scientifically proven. I have conducted long and intensive research

I like riding, but I'm pants at it and it's an expensive sport (a bit like SCUBA LOL!)

In Star Wars, Luke & Leia are twins. In Dune, the main character has b/g twins (eventually).

Husband is being deployed because he's in the RAF :) He has to go fix all the Merlin helicopters the government has just sent over which are probably already broken.

Have you read any of the other books? I've read almost the whole of the original series, but I love the Prelude and Legends series as well.

I own all of the original series, as well as the two books written to tie everything up. I read the first book in the Prelude series, but the new writers just didn't feel the same, so while I'm happy they finished the series, I haven't gotten around to reading their other books yet.

Did you hear they're talking about doing a new movie version though? I'm still not sure what I think of that.

(Also, your icon for the win.)

I get goosebumps when I hear the national anthem. *iz weird*
I prefer watching the tennis from the comfort of my lounge room.
I'm asthmatic so I'm not allowed to SCUBA.
I've never really understood baseball or softball.

I hope hubby returns safely and very soon. *huggles*

I have asthma too, but usually it doesn't interfere with my sport- it started out as exercise-induced asthma and is now just regular asthma, but as long as I use my blue puffer before sport and take my brown one, I'm sorted.

Thanks for nice wishes to hubby.

Funnily enough, I learned SCUBA at that dive school in Lawrence, out past Haskell.

I know, I can't help but love the Royals. At least their mascot is a lion!

Just think of all the stuff I have to do myself now! Meh.
