nursedarryI LOVE icons. I'm always looking for more and am SOO bloody grateful to people who make them. I've done a few, but I'm rubbish at them. So, here's a way to see some good ones:)

I wanted a couple of icons I could use on ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
twinspiration. I love this one 'cause it's so sad but warm at the same time. I found it on Photobucket and the artist captured how most of us feel, I think. I really, really wish there hadn't been a need for it though, because dead Fred is just wrong.
This is the best picture I've found so far to express my love of slash (specifically boy!slash). Since I play in multiple fandoms, I needed something generic but beautiful and this is both! Again, from Photobucket. Go on, type in "boys kissing" and press search and you get all sorts of amazing things!

Sometimes you read a piece of fic that words just can't describe. Sometimes you see a pic or piece of art that just makes you say this. I think there should be more of that kind of thing around, don't you? Made for me by the wonderful dandelow.
This icon was also made by dandelow. Okay *looks at watch* how much time have you got? I play with a bunch of once virtual, now RL friends at Ho State University. We've been together for 10 years and we're still going strong. We were all into mostly common fandoms since before the Internet, but met after "The Phantom Menace" came out. Not content to play in one fandom, we made our own and "invited" our favourite characters back with us- believe me, this is crack with a capital C. One of my favs is Senator Palpatine (seeing as I'm a Sith- yes, there is a difference, Marauder, as kilter will tell you). I know I really shouldn't purple lightning people who piss me off, but sometimes it's just so damn easy. If you're feeling brave, go read some of the HSU fic. It's not as Mary Sue as you'd think; since Mary Sue wouldn't constantly blow the place up or burn the place down or drink as many margaritas as we do. I knew I picked the wrong week to stop purple-lightning people.
Hands up who wants to sit around until the second part of Deathly Hallows comes out and we get a little bit of canon h/d eye-candy? According to IMDb, that's not until 2011. And knowing the industry, there'll be more screen time given to the CGI pyrotechnics than to the actors and we'll be lucky to see faces, let alone arms, hands and bodies. Frak that shit. Thank god for all the wonderful h/d art out there! (I came up with this icon after re-reading the same damn page in that book about 100 times:)
