Actually, it wasn't too bad- we all ate and drank too much and aside from the annoying hour and a half longer it took to get back- traffic mostly standing still from Manchester till past Birmingham, the journeys were okay.

Apologies to [livejournal.com profile] abusing_sarcasm. I was desperately trying to get a picture of her daughter's name in lights on a building in Princes St, but all my shots were too blurry to read. Will get it again when I'm stationary (and NOT on a ferris wheel in the dark).

And many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] scrtkpr for the lovely virtual gift. That's my very first gift. More icons in the making for you if you so desire.

Had a hysterical moment in front of the family when watching "W&G Curse of the Were Rabbit". Now, we have this on DVD, but just I've never noticed this scene before- when Victor (Ralfe Fiennes) reaches into the Hoover full of rabbits to grab his toupee and instead, ends up plonking a cute black bunny on his head and walking off with as much dignity as he can muster. I had a complete giggle break-down for which I'm blaming [livejournal.com profile] bryoneybrynn.

To [livejournal.com profile] kilter, otherwise known as Grand Poobah, her royal Chairness, the Dean of HSU, I apologise for any random texts you may have received, as you were supposed to have been struck off my "random text list". I still send them to [livejournal.com profile] ellie4prez, as she must obey her Mastah. And to [livejournal.com profile] ladyoneill as she needs something to distract her from her busy EA schedule. And I'd be frantically sending them to [livejournal.com profile] dorotea a few days ago when I saw a Range Rover towing a Volvo station wagon, which led me to fear for the safety of the Admin Building thinking that there was no one left in charge except Cal, a poor 'Puff and an Elf having a bad hair day. (I believe [livejournal.com profile] dandelow closes the salon on Christmas.) I'm pleased to see the Building and everyone I left in it is still intact.

As I really should head to bed *read: finish reading some more fic*, here's a few RL highlights from the festive season:

Hope everyone had a (relatively) healthy and Happy Christmas!

Super cute pics! And I'm glad I could induce seemingly random giggles - oh Bunny, how we love you! *hugs*

Aw, the children are adorable!

My old Volvo needs a tow in RL, actually. Poor thing is literally a brick at the moment.

I have to say between the Range Rover and the Volvo, we'd never see the Range Rover again. The Volvo has VOODOO.

:D

I got your text but not until Friday night as my phone was buried in my purse all Christmas day during the festivities then dead for the long drive back to Kansas. Did the kids get the present? There were supposed to be two but the Met sent me the wrong thing. :(
