Emmy, skip to the end.

OMGOMGOMGOMG! It's been a long time since a photo or a fic has actually made me THUD but FUCK ME if this fic isn't doing it to me.

I'm sure a lot of my Friends have read this already- it's not perfect, but the scene at the ball is the thuddiest thing I've read in I don't know how many bloody years! Read the chapters leading up to the scene, don't skip ahead or it won't be as profound. It's a clever story and reads pretty easily. And don't be put off by the title (yes, I did get it off the mpreg comm's rec list)- I promise there's no squickage.

And yes, I know this is a show tune, but luckily I hadn't heard it before, so I will now always associate with this scene. And now I'm listening to it over and over on my iPod.

Harry Potter and the Children of the Future
Dark Walz

Whew.

In other news, the kids' Christmas concert was SO DAMNED SWEET! I almost cried. Doug couldn't get away from work (and was probably covered in oil anyway) but I got a ton of (mostly) blurry pictures. Awwwwww.

Oh, and I've been asked to go to another job interview! I applied for this one before the interview of the one I've accepted. So, that's three job interviews- woohoo! I won't attend, obviously, and I didn't attend the other one, once I'd found out about my job with the Primary Care Trust. The other two weren't paid as well and they were also based at the Radcliffe, where I would no doubt have spent most of my mornings looking for a place to park. The PCT job is on the bypass (so I don't have to drive into town- and negotiate all the poncy students in their poncy clothes on their poncy bikes- apologies if anyone reading this is a student at Oxford).

Two last comments: Em, you're having a much better hair day today. Maybe you should get the Chair to make that new coffee. Without the calories, of course- we're all eating enough chocolate now as it is.

Why, oh why are there people out on the &%$£"^ing firing range at this time of night? I'm trying to have a relaxing read here!

How old are you again?

Yes, I am having a better hair day! Thank GAWD.

But the vibrator attachments on my chair? So not funny.

Old enough to know better, but with too much time on my hands, obviously.

Hey, I wasn't the last one to sit in your damn chair! Your PA was! (Although, that image is too disturbing to entertain.) If you're gonna leave the door open anyone can just waltz in. Not unlike my ^%$£^£ing wardrobe!
