1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
A lot of stuff with the kids. An Alcohol Awareness workshop for 220 2nd Years. That was (?) fun.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I think so- it was to floss more. This year it’s to finally sort out my life insurance/will stuff and figure out my NHS pension. I try to make realistic NYRs.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, my ex-next-door-neighbour Cheryl had her 3rd little girl (named Anaïs)-yuk.
4. Did anyone (?) close to you die?
My kitty- Söze.
5. What countries did you visit?
France
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
Proper iced tea
7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
None in particular; events have much more impact.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Potty-training my children. (How sad is that?)
9. What was your biggest failure?
Keeping dents out of the car.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Diagnosed with asthma. Got my knee fixed (again).
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Long slinky black dress for Doug’s work’s Christmas do.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My children (see Q.8)
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The NHS and its revamping of all the staff grading. Even though I ended up better off, the whole process was a pain in the ass.

Petrol

Buying tickets for THIS year’s holiday.

Anything by Enrique Iglesias.

About the same, I should think.
ii. thinner or fatter?
A LOT thinner. Still eating sensibly (easy when you love all food) and finally got the time to get back into the “gym” rhythm.
Having said that, I’ve put on 4lbs in the last fortnight. But I’m not stressing over that- I went to FIVE Christmas parties. So I’m now 9lbs away from my target instead of 5. (Not bad when you consider all the puddings and mince pies I’ve eaten!) Am giving myself to 29 Feb to get rid of those pesky 9lbs:).

Richer, buying fewer nappies. Making more money.

Sleeping

Denting the car.

With in-laws in Edinburgh for Christmas, at home (sick) with family for New Years.

Am having an affair with a cross-trainer and my iPod. We meet every other day and get all sweaty together. Does that count?

A couple of my students’ parents are doing my head in. Oh, and the Social Work department.

Fleetwood Mac’s brief reformation.

New hand mixer (do I know how to live or what?)

I was only at the cinema once and I wouldn’t say Die Hard 4 was my favourite film. Saw a bunch on DVD I liked.

Went out for a nice meal with some friends- 41.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A full-paid posting to Nevada.

Better than it was the year before- lost a lot of weight and watched every episode of “How to Look Good Naked”.

The revamping of the NHS banding system.
