Someone up there thinks I should keep playing

Well, if I ever needed proof I've gone completely around the HP bend- this must have been the day for it.

Started work early today because I needed to send in an infection control report to the Big Bosses. Had I gotten my Clostridium difficile case numbers from the Radcliffe Hospital yet? No. So rang up. Spoke to Lily, the IC guru there. (I did eventually get numbers but too late to update spread-sheet and email BBs.)

Too late because I had to dash to an independent (Britspeak for "private") boy's boarding school to oversee an immunisation campaign they were having this morning for the Year 10s (14-15 year olds). Spent a couple happy hours discussing who was wearing which House tie (they kept having to take their jackets, ties and shirts off to get the jabs- yes, my life is such a hardship sometimes).

Funnily enough it's actually a school I was thinking about sending my son to for secondary school. Found a nice one for my daughter earlier in the week. Both would go as Day students. The RAF pays for most of the fees, which is great. Now I just have to convince hubby to stay in another 7 years!

Segue to afternoon and the next independent school in the west of the county which meant half of the students weren't registered with a GP in Oxon. So I spent most of the time on the phone with every GP in Wiltshire trying to get immunisation histories for these kids!

Sixty-some DtP and MMRs later and I'm driving home listening to Mark Radcliffe sitting in for Steve Wright on Radio 2 doing his "Fred Or Alive" game. He's given the names of five people named Fred and he has to guess whether they're alive or dead. Who's the first one his co-host asks him about? Three guesses and the first two don't count. AND he got it wrong; his kids were never into the books/movies, evidently.

And then I get home and kilter's HSU fic is waiting for me (which was brill, btw, comments to be posted on GG shortly)- albeit it does have the odd smattering of Bond, Glad, LotR, X-Men, P&M, SW and god-only-knows-how-many-other-fandom's characters. Oh, and someone has anonymously sent me some dash good Marauder smut, too.

So, I think I'll play here a little longer. But not now. Hubby's just finished a week of nights and I have better things to be doing than sitting here talking to YOU lot! Wink, wink, nudge, nudge...

I think I'll go finish watching GoF.
