abusing_sarcasm for leaving nothing sacred to her slashy ways. I cannot now even watch my childrens' bloody cartoons without having a funny turn. Tonight it was "Charlie & Lola" and I just happen to glance at the telly as Charlie and Marv are sitting together. What's the first thing that pops into my poor demented brain? It sure wasn't "Oh, don't they look like they're good friends and enjoy playing together." Actually, it was something to that effect, but with a lot more snark and innuendo thrown in.
I think I really need that intervention now, Dean. You know where to find me, although I'm not sure if I'll be upstairs or downstairs. And send back Laure's latest EA whilst you're at it. His humming is doing my head in.
And now, that 16 Things About Me You Might Not Know meme thing:
1. My favourite food is fish/seafood. I could eat sushi at every meal. Probably comes from being from a landlocked state with not one natural lake.
2. I am in better shape now than I was 20 years ago.
3. I love to dance- especially salsa. Unfortunately, my other half doesn't dance. At all.
4. My favourite movie is Star Wars. My favourite books are the Dune series. I'm a gemini. I think it's way cool I had boy/girl twins.
5. I have a mild form of Meniere's Syndrome (Google it) I haven't had an attack in years.
6. My husband is 14 years younger than me. Woohoo.
7. "Darry" has been my fictitious name since I was 12. I was a lot more Mary Sue back then, though.
8. I have visited 17 different countries and been through 4 others on my way to them.
9. I have 4 piercings (two in ears and two other places) and 2 tattoos (Klingon emblem and SW Imperial symbol) I want another of a Vorlon ship, but my hubby hates tattoos and I can't afford it.
10. When I'm not working as a public health nurse, I work as a theatre (OR) nurse.
11. I'm a Type 2 with a Type 3 leaning on an Enneogram. (Look it up- it's more fun than astrology.)
12. My favourite animals are bats and octopuses.
13. I have always owned a stick-shift car.
14. I love men in uniform. Any kind of uniform. (Yes, school uniforms count.)
15. Before the kids came along, I worked as a unit nurse for the Scottish Film industry. I even had a letter from the producers of PoA, asking if I were available, since I had worked with kids before- alas, I was expecting my own kids not long after that letter arrived. On shoots, I got to meet a ton of really cool and really obnoxious people. And somewhere I have a picture of myself and the young General Kenobi (who gave me a kiss:) I've also snogged Richard Hatch. Now I want to snog Jamie Bamber.
16. My undergraduate degree is in physical anthropology. When I graduated all I wanted to do was sit in Olduvai Gorge and dig up australopithecines. Alas, that's not a well-paying job.
