hd_prophet and crack_broom duties. Both jobs I love, because I discover awesome fic and art, which I bookmark and will devour as soon as flu season is over, but I hate not having time to play! *whines*
* Fangirl Heaven - I've had houseguests who have brought me joy, laughter, alcohol and the need to squee at every double entendre and boo at every bad turn on the floor during Strictly Come Dancing. treacle_tartlet and her little ones - one of which is sorely missed by my Small Girl, cleo_jay, who, as a fellow SlytherPuff, also bonded with my daughter, the ever-so-genteel meredyth_13, who I could listen to all day long, and of course, my other family members cassie_black, and jtsbbsps_dk.
* Fic - Thanks to my brilliant betas, last week I sent in myhd_holidays fic, despite dysonrules complete failing to secure Dan or Tom as guests at NorWes Con. (She claims not to be on the committee that organises this, but I'm sure she could wrangle around that if she had to.) As a result, I've been reduced to asking one half of my True Blood OTP if he'd be my date - you know me - teenagers and tattoos - a lethal combination. (And when I say "asking", I mean bullying jtsbbsps_dk into translating my request into Danish so I could stalk him in two languages on Twitter.) I'm sure he's just taking time to formulate a response, which is why I've not heard from him yet...
At any rate, it's now onto Minifest, that little fic that doesn't want to end, which is what I get writing it from Draco's POV. Then it's on tohd_remix and the silly idea for hp_kinkfest that needs to be developed.
AND OMG YESYESYES! Thethe_ass_fest starts tomorrow! I'm all a-squee. abusing_sarcasm has handed me the keys to ass_news, so I'll be using that as a vehicle to update everyone on all the AS/S kissing going on out there.
* Tickets! I love tickets! I GOT TICKETS TO THE PARARLYMPIC RACES I WANTED - T44 100m, 200m & 400m! Look out Oscar Pistorius - I'm coming for you. *cough* Hubs could be deployed then, so I might have a few spare. If anyone wants to attend, let me know!
* Gifts? Por moi? I've been blessed this month with both fic of awesome and art of UNF. The fic you may have seen is that tasteful and not-at-all Social Services-approved little Charlie & Marv fictreacle_tartlet wrote because fr333bird and I insisted in the strongest possible terms. That Treacle is just one wonderful woman.
In addition, the bloodier of my two prompts was picked up by a lovely anonymous artists for thehd_fanart fest. I direct you there to drool: And I never Drink Wine. Thank you again, Mystery Artist - I absolutely love it.
Thank you also tosati_lotus for the PM that made me laugh so hard I cried. The worst part is, that aside from being stupidly funny, it's also completely true.
And finally, despite my cat's best efforts to change my mind, I am keeping all my wonderful v-gifts and I thank my wonderful flist for their love and the bazillion spiders.
