Plans within plans...

Hello flist! I've missed you, but I have been keeping my eye on you.

So, lots of things happening but first of all, I must say a big thank you to everyone who's picked up my birthday prompt by contributing to Operation H/D Support and snitches_n_smut. It's not long till the big day, and I'm basking in Quidditch-love everytime I check LJ!

In other news, Mr Nursedarry got the second job he applied for (Siemens Windpower), as well as the first (something in Salisbury, which would have been a long commute!), and has decided to accept the Siemens one. He'll start in mid-June.

But before that, we're moving off the base (bye-bye RAF!) and into Reading. We've found a great house to rent whilst we look for something to buy, and the kids start their new school after the half-term at the beginning of June.

And I'm meeting up with being_here and katerina_black next week! Wo0T!!!

Finally, I can report I've been a busy fangirl and will have three fics posting in fests in the near future. They're all pretty much my usual fare - expect the boys to pull the rip-cords on their parachutes only to find an anvil comes out.

I had to abandon Glompfest which broke my heart, and I feel awful about it, but we've ended up needing to move a month early and I wouldn't have had time to write my name (even this post has been delayed), let alone a fic.

BUT, all that does mean I might have time to write for the next installment of Operation H/D Support. What do you think? A little emo/angry next time? *ducks*

Sad to hear about the glompfest thing, I'll have to work hard to finish mine as well, as I probably will be on vacation when the deadline comes up *facepalm* Why is life always so fecking busy and feels like it's allowed to interfere with fannish activities?! ;)

Good news on the job - well done him. Good luck with the move. My eldest (if she gets the A levels) should be going to Reading Uni in the autumn after next, so I'll be around there quite a bit - hopefully we can meet up when I'm carting her stuff down/back up again a few times a year!

kids start their new school after the half-term at the beginning of June Wait, WHAT?! I thought they didn't start school until around September 1st?! Didn't we talk about that one of my 'duties' or whatever was to watch them some days a week so you wouldn't have to put them into day care every day? I AM CONFUSED O_o

The school term here runs to almost the end of July. And their new school runs till the 26th. That's why I was asking you which dates you were thinking of coming over :)

Ah. Okay. I *think* I'm less confused now. So they don't get summer break before around the end of July, but then they do have summer break from the July 26th to around the beginning of September? They only get a month? That sucks :/
About dates, can't like say a specific one yet, but will be able to look at those once I get my new passport :) ordered that last Monday and it should only be around 10 days-2 weeks before it's here, so sometime during next week. Besides that I had been thinking about sometime around July 22/23/24/25th or something..?

Yeah, all the machines :( They're getting a bit old anyway, so we'll get new ones when we buy somewhere, since the place we're renting has a new fridge and washer. Until then, we're hoping to find homes for everything because there's not much room for anything else.

You don't want an 8-year-old fridge/freezer or washer or tumble drier or dishwasher, do you?
