I'd be crying if I didn't laugh
Our flight tonight was cancelled (surprise, surprise). The soonest we can now get back is 26/4, arriving on the 27th.
Today we're going to drive up to the Bay area and stay with my cousins there until we can get out of LA; we'll drive back down the day before. For those of you saying "Why not fly out of San Francisco now?", the airlines don't work that way - you're re-scheduled for the route you're ticketed on (which at the moment is LAX-LHR).
And don't even get me started on the flight they originally rescheduled us on, which gave us 30 minutes to change planes in Chicago (yeah, with two 5-year olds. And what happens if our flight is even 10 minutes late?). When I rang up to ask for an earlier flight, the effing rudest person - who grudgingly rebooked us on a flight out an hour earlier - explained that that was a valid transfer time (which is bollocks if it's true), and that if I wanted to change it again I'd be charged.
All I want is to get home. As it is, I'll now miss two days of my week-long class, which I now think I'll have to wait till next year to do (despite already doing half the research paper for it) - bugger.
I'll at least have Internet access in Oakland (cousin has 5 computers, I think), so hopefully will catch up with work and LJ.
*waves optomistically*
