Twenty-year-old Scorpius didn't want to be late for what was their third "date". Standing by the mirror in the hallway, he combed out his long blond hair, wondering if it were time for his fringe had a trim; he didn't want to miss seeing anything by having too much hair in his eyes.

"You look fine," said the mirror. "But don't forget your glasses."

Scorpius grumbled to himself, but placed the wireless glasses on over his grey eyes. The glasses did nothing to detract from the aristocratic features. Harry had even told him they made him look quite scholarly, which was funny, since Harry's glasses had never had that affect on him.

Scorpius had inherited his father's colouring, but his features had a softer rounder quality which were a gift of his mum's genetics. Luckily he'd also inherited her sense of fun, as he was pretty sure his father would never had considered a visit to a Muggle fun fair a suitable venue for a romantic encounter.

Not quite knowing what to expect, he put on his jacket and with a wink to the mirror, walked out of the door.

And the fabulous illustration...

What a week! Kids had fun with my in-laws.

I had fun with my friend Linda. Did I troll down George Street? Did I ever. And then I trolled over to the Old Town, drank a lot of wine, then vodka and danced and did some things a ****ty-something married woman probably shouldn't do with a barely legal Brazillian boy. But it was fun, fun, fun! And I didn't do anything too immoral.

Ate great food and walked miles and even managed to get that pic on Princes St for [livejournal.com profile] abusing_sarcasm's daughter that I was trying to get at Christmas. Now I just have to figure out how to get it off my damn phone.

And I'm happy cause Christian C. said he'd take me to the movies this summer, cause damned if my husband's going to. Grrr.

Back to that thing called work tomorrow. Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] leochi, [livejournal.com profile] dripping_cherry, and [livejournal.com profile] kilter, whose art, fic and MST3K treatments kept me going. And of course, to [livejournal.com profile] noeon for keeping me sane(ish) whilst I was away.
