Cost of living
Jun. 14th, 2008 10:27 amWould anyone who reads this who lives in the States tell me what you would pay in your local grocery store for the following (I couldn't find an online grocery store site in the USA, but wasn't looking very hard):
Fresh
Medium sized, 1.558kg (3.4lbs)
Whole
Chicken
This is NOT a free-range or specially bred or corn-fed chicken; it's your average plain old I'm-gonna-roast-this-for-Saturday-lunch type chicken.
I paid $8.77 for this in my local supermarket. That was a pretty standard price but for some reason seems WAY too much.
Please tell me this is cheaper in the States.
