Important coffee question after the busy-weekend litany

In the last 48 hours, I have:

* Got through all the kids' homework.
* Got through swimming lessons without forgetting to pack kids' pants (underwear) this time.
* Got through grocery shopping with kids in busiest Tescos in the country.
* Laundry.
* Drove to Oxfordshire for Thanksgiving party.
* Repeated same story about my health 100 times to people I'd not seen since last Thanksgiving party.
* Didn't have one alcoholic beverage. Did have several fattening desserts.
* Left boy at party for sleepover.
* Drove back to Berkshire through hurricane-strength winds and flooded A-roads.
* Hung up laundry.
* Watched Pink Panther cartoons in bed with girl till late.
* Put up with girl turning sideways in bed for a whole 3 hours. Then got up and slept in her bed. (Some of you on my flist will know what I'm talking about.)
* Woke up late - ahhhh (8am).
* Heated up water (boiler still broken). Washed self and girl (told boy to have shower at friends' house).
* Made THE BEST refrigerator cake (milk chocolate, dark chocolate, glace cherries, dried blueberries, golden syrup, Digestives, Maltesers), because I didn't eat enough sweets last night. (Actually, they're for my office.)
* Watched last night's Strictly Come Dancing. Ah, Pasha...tango...mmmm...
* Made lentil soup.
* More laundry.
* Made boy lunch for when he got back.
* Took boy and his lunch over to another friend's house (my son is in great demand).
* Made beds.
* Did dishes.
* Put up Christmas tree (no small task).
* Dug out menorahs, then realised I have no candles. Will get some in London.
* Tidied up loft.
* Hoovered.
* Painted by numbers with daughter.
* Looked up Strictly spoiler. Agreed with result.
* Now about to do the ironing and watch Wall-E.
* Will write something later so [livejournal.com profile] sati_lotus won't yell at me tomorrow.
* At some point, I must retrieve my son. Please don't let me forget.

But more important than any of that, and this is mainly for the Europeans on my flist, because we don't have the selection that the NA/Asian/Antipodean places do (bah, humbug): I don't usually like flavoured coffees. But once a year around this time I have one. Last year, I had an egg-nog latte from Starbucks. It was nice, but I think my teeth melted after drinking it.

From where and what flavour do you recommend for this year?

you are a domestic goddess.

Blimey, you've been busy! Well done!

I love the toffee nut latte from Starbucks, and the salted caramel one from Costa is pretty good too. I guess they are quite sweet, but I usually have lattes with an extra shot of espresso, so that takes the edge off.

You're making me sleepy!!

As for the coffee rather loving the honeycomb flavour. Mmmm mmmm mmmmmmm.

Geez, I thought my weekend was busy! Just reading that exhausted me.

I like peppermint mocha coffee at this time of year.

Peppermint mocha or gingerbread latte.

will you come over and clean and be a domestic goddess at my house? I'll take you to Dunkin' Donuts for any coffee you want. It's 1,000 times better than Starbucks!

don't forget small boy

I feel bad now. I didn't do much at all!!!

CINNAMON!!!! Or or or nougat! Or TOFFEE! NOM.

jesus christ.

I stand by my opinion that you're a superwoman.

Gingerbread latte if you want it spicy-christmas - toffeenut latte if you want the sweet-christmas version.

You are the goddess of achieving all the things. I have achieved ... very little. More than anything it thrills me to see you ABLE to do all these things.

*hugs*

Damn.

Ah, I want our Dancing with the Stars to steal Pasha from you; he's just lovely.

How can you have spoilers? Is it not a live show there?

Starbucks' Cinnamon Dolce Skinny Latte. It's not as sweet as some of the others (but it is still sweeter than my normal coffee), and it's available year-round.

I also like Irish Cream and Pumpkin Spice coffees, but the only ones I'll drink are available from a tiny chain of coffee shops based in southern NE. If either of them sound good, let me know and I'll try to bring you a sample when I'm over next month. (They're not always available, but I can try!)

Just reading that made me feel tired! *in awe* Today I have achieved one load of washing and going to the cinema to see Gambit. Not quite as epic :D

My god, woman. I've barely gotten off the sofa except to eat leftover turkey and stuffing (and green bean casserole, and creamed onions, and mashed potatoes, and apple pie...grooaaann...). Boy howdy do I feel like a slacker!!

FWIW, my favorite flavoring is a big ol' slug of whiskey and a dash of creme de menthe. Hellooooo, irish coffee!!

PS. Want that icebox cake recipe!! Will trade for one of mine :)

Wow, you are amazing.
Reading your post exhausted me!
If I am that busy, sometimes I make myself
notes to remind myself to do all the errands.
Glad you remembered to pick up boy.
I like flavored coffees. I am particular about
them though. I have a kerig coffee maker and
like mudslides (sweet) and french van. coffee.
Peppermint does sound tasty though.
Maybe we could meet this holiday and share a cup!
