I'm off to have an early night - had very full day at work with boss sick, but I did manage to finish the longest part of my microbiology/immunology coursework today (when the cat's away, the mouse does homework and reads pr0n on her iPhone) - but I couldn't sleep easy knowing I hadn't told the world about two wonderful women.

One is the amazingly talented [livejournal.com profile] vix_spes who wrote LONGHAND without error an amazing porny Harry/Bill/Charlie story then bound it all in green paper and tied it together with beautifully plaited ribbon. It's as gorgeous to look at as it is steamy to read. *fans self with it* THANK YOU SO MUCH, my darling violinist/writer!

The other I must thank is the amazingly talented [livejournal.com profile] dirty_darella who drew me an illustration of this drabble-y poem I wrote some time ago. And it's effing wonderful - the art, I mean - (click to enlarge and see the mmm...detail). I've also just discovered she's the author of a fic I've had bookmarked for ages and read regularly. Yes, I almost hate her for being so talented. THANK YOU SO MUCH, my darling artist/writer!

I'll post more over the weekend as I'm desperate to steal one of the presents [livejournal.com profile] cassie_black12 has asked for in her holiday wish list (no prizes for guessing which one). Have a splendid evening everyone, and don't forget to support CHILDREN IN NEED tonight.

Oh, LOL to your latest email, [livejournal.com profile] kilter. Now I'm going to have to find that film on iTunes.

Title: Fortunate Sons
Pairing: H/D
Rating: G
Prompt: #6, Luck, fortune at [livejournal.com profile] poetic_hp
Disclaimer: The characters herein are not mine and I claim no possession of anything remotely connected to them except my undying lust. This writing is purely for fun and is not intended for the purpose of gain other than hopefully the gushing commnets from the reader. The title is a corruption of CCR's "Fortunate Son".
A/N: Cinquain poetry is based upon syllable count (2,4,6,8,2, for a total of 22). (The purest form also dictates the number of stressed syllables in each line, although I've not kept to this.) Didactic cinquain is based on word count (1,2,3,4,1) rather than syllable count. I've had a go working to both stipulations.
